Buona lettura.
=======================================
Dear Fania Managers,
I am a Dj of Classic Salsa in Italy facing the PIRACY performed by so called "Rareza Music Records" which is the name published on SERIAL bootleg CD's, without showing any contact info except a fax number of Bogotà (Colombia), to which it's impossible to talk directly; thus, a real anonymous subject, stealing music to effective owners.

Normally Rareza Music is mainly focussed on "Rare and Obscure" tracks, originally issued on hard-to-find vinyls only (so as to minimize sues risks); yet, this time Rareza Music has issued a compilation whose first track is something belonging to Fania catalog, and that Fania is legally selling by CD's and MP3's: ARENQUE BY ALFREDO VARGAS:

Well, I inform you that this Rareza Music is said to be a mere collector who rips his vinyls and has connections to the main Latin music world distributor, LOS REYES, MIAMI, whose latin list is as follows
http://www.reyesrecords.com/latin.htm .
The key to find Rareza Music items is to search in the description: "The Best Of" because they always call their compilations that way, except Sabroso Guaguanco vol 1 and vol 2.
Fania people: YOU HAVE TO STOP THIS TRADE. I am not Don Quixote, I am aware that piracy will always exists, but what Rareza Music is doing is USING THE LEGAL CIRCUIT TO TRADE ILLEGAL ITEMS. If piracy should be, let it stay UNDERGROUND, otherwise people will think that Rareza Music items are legal, and this would "promote piracy to legality".
PLEASE, DO SOMETHING AGAINST THESE MUSIC STEALERS, BY FORCING REYES RECORDS TO ABANDONE RAREZA MUSIC, which I believe is the only way to push bottlegs back to their environment: the underground.
I keep at disposal, don't hesitate to ask for help.
Regards

Here is the link of the Forum discussion which forced Descarga.com to abandone Rareza Music items; please take your time and read it, it is very instructional, because it shows how song owner Benny Vargas (who legally published his Dax Pacem Orchestra song on Andres Padua's Latin Soul Records compilation) found himself pirated and distributed in the legal circuit (i.e. Descarga)
